Lauren DeGennaro

Dr. Lauren DeGennaro grew up in Naugatuck, Connecticut, where her love of animals began at an early age. She earned her undergraduate degree from Boston College, majoring in biochemistry with a minor in theology. After graduation, she spent two years working as a veterinary assistant at a feline-exclusive veterinary clinic before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Following veterinary school, Dr. DeGennaro completed a one-year equine internship at Genesee Valley Equine Clinic in Scottsville, New York, further expanding her experience with a wide variety of species and medical cases. She enjoys caring for both companion animals and horses and is committed to providing thoughtful, compassionate care to every patient.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. DeGennaro enjoys birding, hiking, and exploring the outdoors. She shares her home with her cat, Misty, and is happy to be back in New England.
